Drawn Together as SPJST Hosts Family Fun Event to Support Heather’s Old Skool Village
SPJST Hosts Second Annual District 3 Rally
FORT WORTH, Texas – SPJST hosts family fun this weekend at the District 3 Rally in Fort Worth. The event is open to the public, great for kids, and brings together communities across North Texas.
Sunday, April 26 from 1 to 4 p.m., SPJST invites the community to an afternoon of family-friendly fun. Snacks and activities are provided free of charge at SPJST Lodge 92, 3316 Roberts Cut Off Rd, Fort Worth, Texas.
There will be games, crafts, and the ‘Goody Grab’ for the youth to enjoy. Kids are reminded to bring a basket, sack, or pillowcase for their loot.
This year, the lodge proudly supports Heather’s Old Skool Village. Bring arts and crafts supplies to support adults with disabilities as they learn, work, and building meaningful community.
Donations can include, but are not limited to, crayons, paints, colored pencils, and glue.
The lodge will also host a silent auction featuring homemade desserts. All proceeds from the auction support Heather’s Old Skool Village.
The community is welcome to participate by bringing any homemade dessert with an attached recipe to feature in the auction. Attendees do not need to feature baked goods to participate in the silent auction or the rally.
Spearheading the statewide SPJST District Rallies is Vice President of Communications Melanie Zavodny.
“We want everyone to join us,” Zavodny said. “Come have a little something to eat, play a few games, and win some prizes.”
SPJST’s mission is to insure and enrich lives. While the organization provides life insurance and annuities, the profits from the fraternal are redirected back into Texas communities.
“Our goal at SPJST is to give back to our communities,” Zavodny said. “One way we like to do that is to have a free event bringing an afternoon of entertainment for families.”
For more information about SPJST and its mission, attend the District 3 Rally, visit spjst.org, or email info@spjst.com.
Additionally, SPJST proudly offers a personal touch in a digital world. Call 254-773-2575 and speak with a real person for assistance – no robots.
“SPJST proudly meets people face-to-face in all we do,” Zavodny said. “Call anytime Monday through Friday or come out to our SPJST Rally. We’d love to meet you.”
Admission is free, and there are no surprise charges. RSVP is strongly encouraged so staff can adequately prepare.
