NOTICE TO DEFENDANT: You have been sued. You may employ an attorney. If you or your attorney do not file a written answer with the clerk who issued this citation by 10:00 a.m. on the Monday next following the expiration of 42 days after the date this citation was issued, a default judgement may be taken against you. In addition to filing a written answer with the Clerk, you may be required to make initial disclosures to the other party of this suit. Defendant, Greeting:
You are hereby commanded to appear by filing a written answer to the PETITION TO QUIET TITLE at or before 10:00 o’clock a.m. on the Monday next after the expiration of 42 days after the date of issuance of this citation, before the Honorable Judge Dean Fowler, 115th District Court of Upshur County, at the Courthouse in said County in Gilmer, Texas. Said PETITION TO QUIET TITLE was filed in said court on the 8th day of September 2025 in the above-entitled cause.

A brief statement of the nature of the suit is as follows, to wit: PETITION TO QUIET TITLE

NOW COMES the Petitioners, the lawful heirs and successors-in-interest to Sanie Byas Owens and Will Owens, and respectfully file this Petition to Quiet Title concerning the following described property in Upshur County, Texas and would respectfully show the Court the following:

32 acre tract of land situated on the M.J. Lunsford Headright Survey inb Upshur County, Texas.

Issued and given under my hand and the Seal of said court, at office in Gilmer, Texas, this the 4th day of February A.D. 2026.
