UT Health East Texas Physicians Welcomes Katelyn Hanson, APRN, FNP-C, to Carthage

Carthage, Texas (January 14, 2026) — UT Health East Texas Physicians is expanding family medicine services in Carthage with the addition of Katelyn Hanson, APRN, FNP-C.
“My philosophy is centered around compassionate, holistic and empathetic care. I believe healthcare should address not only physical conditions but also mental and spiritual well-being,” Hanson said. “I emphasize clear communication to ensure patients understand every aspect of their care, and I strive to create a welcoming environment where they feel supported and empowered.”
Hanson said she felt called to nursing early in life, and her experiences have shaped how she connects with patients and guided her approach to treating each person as a whole.
“I love family medicine because it allows me to care of patients across the lifespan,” she said. “I also value the variety family medicine offers and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with my patients.”
