UT Health East Texas Physicians Welcomes Andrea Gohmert, AuD, to Tyler

Andrea Gohmert, AuD

Tyler, Texas (September 22, 2025) — UT Health East Texas Physicians is expanding audiology services in Tyler with the addition of Andrea Gohmert, AuD.

“My care philosophy centers on empowering patients to take an active role in their hearing healthcare,” Dr. Gohmert said. “I see myself as a partner in care, providing diagnosis, education and guidance on hearing and balance disorders while helping patients choose the best rehabilitation and communication options for their needs.”

Gohmert’s passion for audiology stems from her own experience. Born with congenital ear disease, she struggled with hearing loss throughout childhood and was treated by many otologists and audiologists.

“Those experiences inspired me to pursue audiology and my personal journey continues to shape the compassionate provider I am today,” Dr. Gohmert said. “With more than 33 years of experience, I have cared for patients across the lifespan and practiced in every area of audiology including cochlear implant management, hearing aid dispensing, bone anchored devices, pediatric care, newborn hearing screening, intraoperative monitoring and diagnostics.”

Dr. Gohmert is welcoming patients at 11937 US Hwy. 271 in Tyler. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 903-877-5617.
