Coming Up This Week

4/22 – Community Volunteer Fair

What: The City of Longview and the Longview Chamber of Commerce are seeking to “Unite the Community” by producing a unique matchmaking opportunity. Recognizing the fact that Longview is a truly caring and supportive community with exceptional opportunities to give back and make a positive impact for both volunteers and recipients of service, the City and the Chamber are joining forces to present The Community Volunteer Fair!

When: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Where: Longview Exhibit Center, 1123 Jaycee Drive

4/22 – Early Voting Begins in District 5 Election

What: Early voting begins April 22 for the District 5 City Election.  Early Voting will be held this year at City Hall (300 W. Cotton St.) and the Spring Hill Jr. High Gym (3101 Spring Hill Road)

4/24 – City Council Meeting

What: Regular meeting of the Longview City Council

When: 5:30 p.m.

Where: City Hall, 300 W. Cotton St.

4/26 – E-Waste Recycling Event

What: The City of Longview will host an E-Waste Recycling event from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 26, at Teague Park.  Vouchers are required to participate and are available online.

When: 8 a.m. – Noon

Where: Teague Park, 415 American Legion Boulevard
