UIL State Executive Committee Meeting Results

AUSTIN, TX — The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Wednesday to issue penalties for potential UIL rule violations.

All student-athletes involved in the altercation between Burkeville High School and Hull-Daisetta High School are suspended from all UIL activities for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year. This does not reduce any prior suspensions given to student-athletes by each school.

Burkeville High School Head Basketball Coach Aaron Hallford, Hull-Daisetta Head Basketball Coach Trent Wallace, and Hull-Daisetta Assistant Basketball Coach Dannon Wafer were all issued two-years probation and a public reprimand. Both head coaches will also report back their progress in implementing lessons from the Texas Way.

The Burkeville High School and Hull-Daisetta High School athletic departments both received two-years probation.
