Folk, rock music icon Bob Dylan to Perform at UT Tyler Cowan Center
Singer-Songwriter brings “Rough and Rowdy Ways” Tour to East Texas
TYLER, Texas (December 11, 2025) — Legendary singer and songwriter Bob Dylan is bringing his “Rough and Rowdy Ways” Tour to The University of Texas at Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 29.
Cowan Center Circle members can purchase tickets today. Public tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12.
“This is a landmark moment for UT Tyler,” said Jeff Noblit, UT Tyler vice president for marketing. “Bob Dylan’s performance will be an unforgettable experience, and we’re proud to bring such an iconic voice to our stage.”
Described as one of the greatest songwriters of all time, Dylan’s career spans almost 70 years, with an estimated 125 million records sold worldwide. He is a renowned member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 2008, the Pulitzer Prize jury awarded him a special citation for his impact on popular music and American culture. Eight years later, he was the first musician to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature “for having created new poetic expressions withing the great American song tradition.”
This concert will be a phone-free experience. The use of cellphones, cameras or recording devices will not be permited in the performance space. Upon arrival at the Cowan Center, phones will be secured in Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event.
“Guests will always maintain possession of their phones and can access them throughout the event at designated ‘Phone Use’ areas in the venue,” said Ryan Poynter, Cowan Center executive director. “We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping create a truly immersive, phone-free viewing experience that lets the music take center stage.”
For tickets, the Cowan Center box office will be open 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12. During the winter break closure, tickets can be purchased online at cowancenter.org.
