Tree Removal to include Grayson, Collin and Fannin Counties

Leonard, TX — September 8, 2025 — Southern Baptists of Texas Convention Disaster Relief (SBTC Disaster Relief) is sending out chainsaw teams across North Texas after Friday’s storms caused significant damage.

Grayson, Collin and Fannin Counties experienced strong wind gusts Friday night, resulting in downed trees all over the area.

Volunteers from Flint Baptist Church will be providing free tree removal services this week and as long as needed.

“We are here to support the community,” said SBTC DR Director Scottie Stice. “We are honored to serve residents in their time of need.”

The Southern Baptists of Texas Convention (SBTC) is a fellowship of more than 2,800 Southern Baptist churches in Texas committed to touching the world with the good news of Jesus Christ. SBTC Disaster Relief consists of more than 6,000 trained volunteers who deploy to help their neighbors all around the world recover from natural disasters.
