May 2025, Fort Worth, Texas — The Texas Trail of Fame, Inc., the organization that has placed more than 260 large bronze stars in the sidewalks of the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, will add ten more stars in October. The nominations for 2025 have been made and the votes cast. The ten new additions representing the heritage, traditions, values and Western way of life are:

“This year marks 28 years of educating and entertaining visitors about the individuals, organizations, groups and animals that are important representatives of our Western culture and traditions. The memorable large bronze stars in the sidewalks are a spectacular honor, and the biographies for all 260+ inductees are available online at www.texastrailoffame.org. The Trail began in 1997 and has become a key feature of the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District experience which is enjoyed by more than nine million visitors each year,” says Brad Gandy, President of the Texas Trail of Fame, Inc.
The Induction Ceremony and Dinner will be held on Thursday, October 23rd, at Billy Bob’s Texas, 2525 Rodeo Plaza, in Fort Worth. The event is open to the public, but seating is limited. Doors open at 5 p.m.; dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $150 each and may be purchased online at www.texastrailoftame.org. Raffle tickets for a commemorative firearm will also be available online. The individuals being inducted or their representatives have been invited to attend.
The Unveiling Ceremony for the stars will take place during the Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering, on Saturday, October 25th, at 10 a.m. in front of the Livestock Exchange Building, 131 E. Exchange Avenue, Fort Worth. The drawing for the commemorative firearm will also take place at that time. “It is a thrill to meet the individuals who are joining the prestigious Texas Trail of Fame,” says Gandy.
