AUSTIN, TX – April 2025 – What began in an Austin apartment with a sense of humor and a love for partying has grown into one of Etsy’s most beloved and popular destinations for playful, personalized party décor. This year, Earle’s Folly, a female-owned and operated party decoration shop, proudly celebrates 10 years of success and over 250,000 sales– all shipped right from the heart of Central Texas.

Started on Etsy in 2015 by Austin local Ariel Gray, Earle’s Folly quickly grew into a go-to name for brides, maids of honor, and party planners looking for cheeky and completely custom bachelorette party décor. The shop is now known for its viral handmade feather toppers and laugh-out-loud party supplies that put the Bride and Groom’s personality into every decoration.

“I started crafting Earle’s Folly at my kitchen table, with no big plan other than to create quality decorations that really made people laugh and feel celebrated,” says Gray. “I was so tired of attending Bachelorette parties that had boring basic decor- nothing that really reflected the Bride to Be. My idea was to do the very opposite- to create personalized decorations that were locally-sourced and lovingly made. It’s been amazing to grow that idea with our small 6-person team and bring that joy to hundreds of thousands of parties over the years.”

Through dedication, late nights, and a whole lot of glitter debris, Gray built her shop into a thriving business with over 25,000 5-star reviews on Etsy. What sets Earle’s Folly apart is its unique blend of humor, high-quality craftsmanship, and an Austin, Texas “treat them like a local” mentality. From playful bachelorette themes to glitter-filled birthday décor, Earle’s Folly is known for blending fun and flair with custom details that make each order feel personal. The shop’s signature style is always customer experience focused and party-ready — and it’s kept shoppers coming back year after year.

In a time when many small businesses face uncertainty, Earle’s Folly is a local success story. Ariel’s journey shows how passion, creativity, and a commitment to living wages and community—especially through platforms like Etsy—can help sustain independent makers in the digital age.

As Gray puts it: “There’s nothing more rewarding than knowing something you made brought a little extra sparkle to someone’s big day. I’m just grateful our small team has been able to continue doing what we love for 10 years now, right here in the city that inspired me to start.”

To celebrate the 10-year milestone, Earle’s Folly will be releasing limited-time promotions throughout the year, available via the official website and Etsy shop.
