Pronounced deceased at Hospital

Description: Preliminary investigation indicates that a Granbury Independent School District school bus was traveling NE on Pecos River Dr. The bus stopped to pick up students and then started to pull away. As the bus was pulling away, a child ran up the driver’s side and in front of the bus where he was struck by the front right of the bus. The child was transported to Lake Granbury Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. There were 8 children on the bus at the time of the incident. This is an ongoing investigation and there will be no further information available.
