| President Trump’s First Day
What to know: President Donald Trump began his first day back in office by designating Mexican criminal cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.
The TPPF take: Mexican cartels have unleashed violence and attained political influence in Mexico. We need new ways to deal with them.
“For decades the cartels have embedded themselves in every American community, fueling the drug crisis, facilitating human trafficking, and profiting off the suffering of human beings,” says TPPF’s Greg Sindelar. “It is long past time that we respond to Mexican cartels for who they are—terrorists threatening regional stability and the American way of life. The United States will now be empowered to not just respond, but to win.” |

| Everyone has heard of Three-Mile Island and Chernobyl, but not many people know about all of the advancements in Nuclear technology that have happened since those disasters. Automation in safety features and new designs of reactors have created an opportunity for America to expand our nuclear energy sector in a safe and affordable way. |

What to know: President Trump also issued an executive order halting new leases and permits for offshore wind projects.
The TPPF take: TPPF has been leading the fight to defend the U.S. coastline from offshore wind projects.
“Costs keep going up, and embarrassing public failures, such as the turbine blade failure at the Vineyard Wind site off Massachusetts, aren’t helping,” says TPPF’s Robert Henneke. “There are good reasons — along with the cost savings — for ending the expensive and disappointing offshore wind debacle.” |

| A Win for the Second Amendment
What to know: The ATF has reversed its “no tolerance” rule that let agents target gun stores’ licenses over paperwork errors.
The TPPF take: TPPF took on the Biden ATF and won.
“The Biden Administration’s zero tolerance approach to paperwork errors has been devastating to businesses. Many gun stores have been forced to close due to the illegal terms of the old enforcement order,” says TPPF’s Matt Miller. “The new order effectively restores the old enforcement guidance, which means gun stores don’t have to live in fear of honest mistakes.” |
