Texas Demographic Center Vintage 2024 Population Projections – Coming soon
The Texas Demographic Center will release the Vintage 2024 Population Projections in early 2025. Our projections consist of the state’s residential population by age, sex, and race/ethnicity for each year from 2020 through 2060, with the 2020 population equal to the 2020 census count for the State.
Texas Demographic Center Legislative Briefing Event
Texas Demographic Center staff convened with policymakers in Austin to present an overview of the latest population estimates and projections for the state, highlighting key policy implications.

Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates for States, Counties and School Districts
The U.S. Census Bureau released the 2023 Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates (SAIPE), which provide the only up-to-date, single-year income and poverty statistics for the nation’s 3,143 counties and 13,138 school districts
The U.S. Census recently released the 2024 Population Estimates of the total population and voting-age population for the nation, states, and Puerto Rico. The Population Estimates Program develops the official estimates of population and housing units for the Census Bureau.
Net International Migration Drives Highest U.S. Population Growth in Decades, says U.S. Census Bureau. Texas population grew by almost 563K, reaching over 31M in 2024. Texas led growth in natural increase and domestic migration and saw the 3rd largest increase in international migration.
