Summary 

  • The TimberHogs faced the Fort Smith Marshals in the second game of their series tonight. ● The ‘Hogs got off to a good start with a single to center field from AJ Smith. Juan Murillo hit his sixth homerun of the season, scoring Smith and giving the TimberHogs a 2-0 lead. ● The Marshals tied up the game in the bottom of the first, scoring two runs. They then took a 4-2 lead in the second with an RBI single.
  • The TimberHogs responded when Karsten Fidler singled through the left side and brought in Lukas Hinze. Trent McGee grounded out to the pitcher, scoring Smith from third. ● Gage Goddard got the ‘Hogs out of the third with three consecutive fly outs. ● The TimberHogs plated two more runs off a single to right field from Alton Gatson. ● Taven Hathaway took over the mound for the ‘Hogs in the sixth. The Marshals tied up the ballgame again, scoring two.
  • Jake Johnson came in to pitch for the TimberHogs. The Marshals captured the lead in the seventh inning with a solo homerun.
  • Hinze and Smith walked to start off the eighth for the ‘Hogs. Murillo doubled to right center and scored both baserunners to give the TimberHogs the lead. Corbin Montayne singled to left field and brought in Murillo to extend their lead.
  • Tyler Puckett took the mound for the ‘Hogs in the bottom of the eighth and held the Marshals scoreless.
  • The ‘Hogs loaded up the bases in the top of the ninth. Seishou Uchikoshi scored on a wild pitch to give the TimberHogs a 10-7 lead.
