JIM “PAPPY” MOORE: Let Men be Men

By Jim “Pappy” Moore

Think about where the 21st century has taken us. What is the status of men and women? The thing which stands out most is how women have come to believe they are the superior gender, and that men should agree with them on this matter.

Remember fifty years ago when women said “all we want is equal opportunity, equal rights.” Since then, they have taken over public schools and reduced the role of men in schools substantially.

In the 20th century they would talk about how girls were getting left behind in schools, which favored boy students in a variety subjects and disciplines. Men were doctors. Women were nurses. Men were bosses. Women were employees. Today, women are favored over men almost across the board, from college enrollments, to medical schools, to presidents of universities. Women get the nod more than men.

In this century women have declared that being a woman is better than being a man. They should think that, I suppose, since men have obligations and women have options. You know who is tired of hearing the constant harangue about men from women and girls? Men, that’s who.

In record numbers men are turning women down for marriage, and even for dating. Women want men to take the initiative, to take the emotional risk, to front the money for meals and entertainment. A man is judged first on his ability to bring economic value to the woman.

And what’s the payoff? Hearing words such as “patriarchy,” and “misogynistic,” and “gaslighting,” and “toxic.” Ladies, take a good look around. Men treat women a lot better than women treat men.

Many young men have simply stopped chasing women. They let the women chase them. Marriage has become a losing proposition for men. Why would they sign on for giving up half their income for an almost certain outcome that means losing children in divorce while subsidizing their ex-wife? In increasing numbers men are turning away, holding off on marriage or commitment.

The traditional family in America is dying out. About three of every four divorces are initiated by women, and why not? It’s a better deal for them than for their husbands.

There is no such thing as male toxicity. There are male traits which are normal and are inbred. These make a male a male. Telling men those traits are not sufficient for boys and men is foul. It’s arrogant and it’s prejudiced.

Time for women to bring other women back into line. This schism between males and females is getting larger, and families units suffer all the while. Men and women are designed to be complementary. They are not supposed to be the same in temperament, or planning, or the need to go out and conquer.

Let men be men. Let boys be boys.
