Longtime Paris, Mount Pleasant physician joins CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic
(MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas) – CHRISTUS Health, a non-profit health care leader, is proud to announce the arrival of long-time Paris and Mount Pleasant physician, John “Jay” Cannon III, to the CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic team.
Cannon, who joins CHRISTUS after having spent more than 20 years practicing in Paris and Mount Pleasant, will see patients at the newly renovated CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic location at 2001 W. Ferguson Road, Suite 1000 in Mount Pleasant.
“Dr. Cannon has built tremendous relationships in the region and has been providing incredible care for countless families for decades,” said Dr. Brent Wadle, physician vice president for primary care for CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic. “The wealth of knowledge and level of expertise that he provides does great things for the clinic and our community. We could not be more excited to have him join our organization.”
A family medicine physician, Cannon completed his undergraduate studies at Abilene Christian University, medical school at Kansas City University School of Medicine and Biosciences, and his residency at Scott and White Memorial Hospital/Texas A&M Health Science Center.
He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a fellow with the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Cannon will also be heavily involved in patient care at the new CHRISTUS HealthPark facility that was announced earlier this year, with an anticipated groundbreaking this Summer.
The HealthPark campus will include a single-story building of more than 30,000 square feet and will include a freestanding emergency department, 12 provider medical offices, diagnostic imaging and testing, a lab and a physical and occupational therapy center. The campus will also have land for future expansion projects.
