Vehicle 1: 2014 Honda Accord.

Driver: Deceased.

Xzavier Sarmienta, 21-YOA from Ennis, TX.

Pronounced at the scene by Justice of the Peace Dan Cox.

Vehicle 2: 2017 Dodge Ram 3500.

Driver:

Brian Simmons, 28-YOA from Hubbard, TX.

Minor injuries: Transported to Ennis Regional Medical Center.

 

Description:

Preliminary investigation indicates Vehicle 1 was traveling eastbound, in front of Vehicle 2, when the driver of Vehicle 1 made a U-Turn and was struck by Vehicle 2. This investigation is ongoing, and no additional information is available.
