JIM “PAPPY” MOORE: Kamala It’s The Economy Stupid

Starting on Day One of the Biden-Harris administration, they crushed the economy with very bad decisions and policies. They shut down the pipeline from Canada to the USA which would have lowered the costs of moving energy raw materials from Canada to the USA. That means they have to be moved by rail. They shut down fracking for on-shore and off-shore Federal Lands by proclamation, reducing oil and gas production on Federal Lands in the USA. They limited oil and gas exploration. They went after and have essentially destroyed the coal industry.
The results were immediate. Energy costs went up drastically at all levels. On election day in November of 2020, Brent Crude Oil was under $38 per barrel in the world market. By November 2021 the Biden edicts and actions had pushed the world-wide Brent Crude Oil to $83 a barrel, more than double. The gasoline you put into your car jumped over 50%. The gas you used to heat your home went up. The coal burned to provide your home and business electricity went up. The cost of manufacturing goods and moving them to market went up. The cost of planting our food and harvesting it went up. Every point in the supply chains went up. Elections have consequences, and the rapid rise of Crude Oil was created by the actions of the Biden-Harris administration. Those actions cost you dearly at the gasoline and diesel pumps, making the costs of delivery on all consumer goods shoot UP accordingly.
The USA quickly went from being a major seller of crude oil to being a consumer of crude oil since we could no longer produce our own crude at Trump era levels. Instead, we became an importer of crude oil in order to keep our production capacity at our excellent gulf coast refineries busy. We were then able to export the refined oil, making up some of the losses the U.S. industry would have otherwise felt. Every cost to every citizen went up because Joe Biden and Kamala Harris do not comprehend that when government makes such bad decisions, all costs rise and the consumer has to pay those costs.
Three and a half years later, they still are not any smarter. Kamala proved this with her edict that she will impose price controls. Think for a moment how stupid that is, and how bad the results will be.
Suppose you cannot afford your groceries. Kamala imposes price controls. Grocery stores have the LOWEST profit margins of any industry in America. They average about 2%, so any suggestion that the cost increases should be borne by them is insane. The price she has pegged to control costs to consumers will not induce sellers of those goods to deliver to your local store the goods because they cannot make enough money at your store. Then what will happen? The sellers will move their goods to where they can draw the best price compared to their costs. If it costs too much to move the goods to your local store, your shelves may come up empty, or at least missing supplies. Shortages will occur. That is how things are in places like Venezuela. Your money goes down in value and your cost of goods goes up. Of all the industries, do not blame the grocery stores! They make a thin margin on everything they sell.
You cannot make people produce goods when the price they can sell them at market is not sufficient to cover costs of production and delivery to that market. These are economic forces which cannot be altered by the edict of some ignorant politician who has no idea how economics works.
Layoffs will occur. People will lose jobs. Price controls do not work. If they did, they would have worked in Russia, Cuba, Venezuela and other places. All those places are famous for empty shelves and long lines for bread. Is that the America you want?
Democrats do not respect capitalism. They do not understand at its most basic level how economics works. They think in terms of regulations and commands. They never realize that THEIR regulations pile on cost after cost, and YOU pay all those costs. Ask any owner of a business. They will tell you that government oversight, regulations and costs make it more difficult to deliver to you the goods and services you want for your life, your family, your home.
Trump understands this. He understands that two things government can do to cut the cost of your purchases are (1) stop overregulating businesses, and (2) make the cost of production lower by dropping the cost of electricity, gasoline, diesel, and natural gas by encouraging more American production, which will lower the price of all goods and services. That is why Trump had inflation slightly above one percent and Biden-Harris have given you 25% inflation in under four years. You cannot afford their ignorance and incompetence any longer. They will break you, and break the country.
