Tyler, Texas (September 22, 2025) — UT Health East Texas Physicians is expanding cardiology services in Tyler with the addition of Purveshkumar Patel, MD.
“I provide care to my patients with compassion and believe listening to them is key to managing their health,” Dr. Patel said. “I was drawn to healthcare because it allows me to make a positive impact in people’s lives. There is nothing more rewarding than helping people feel better and live healthier lives.”
Dr. Patel said he chose to pursue cardiology because it requires quick thinking and decision-making while allowing him to build lasting relationships with patients through ongoing care.
“While I treat all aspects of general cardiology, I enjoy focusing on preventive care and managing chronic heart conditions,” he said. “Communication and teamwork are central to my practice.”
In addition to English, Dr. Patel is fluent in Hindi and Gujarati.
