Fall Clean-Up September 22-27, 2025 For City of Gilmer Residents

The City of Gilmer will hold fall clean-up on Monday, September 22nd and Tuesday, September 23rd on the east side of U.S. 271; Wednesday, September 24th and Thursday, September 25th, 2025, on the west side of U.S. 271.

Residents are asked to follow the collection schedule and to place leaf bags, brush or junk items curbside by 7 a.m. each day to ensure pick up. Items must weigh no more than 50 lbs. Brush must be bundled, cut into 3-5 ft. lengths and be no more than 12” in diameter.

Residents will be limited to one (1) truckload of brush or trash per household. Please call City Hall at 903-843-2552 to arrange for pick-up.

Residents may also take multiple loads of brush and trash to the City dumpster site (the old City dump site located at the end of Carnation Road off St. Hwy 154 E and Daylily Road) on Monday, September 22nd and Wednesday, September 24th, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 27th, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. No permit will be necessary, but a current City of Gilmer water bill will be required to dump.

No tires, liquids, shingles, paint cans, products containing asbestos, air conditioners, electronics, or refrigerators will be picked up or accepted at the old City dump.

Remember – For City Staff to pick up items at your residence, you must call City Hall at 903-843-2552 and request a pick-up. This service is for residential accounts only.
