You are hereby commanded to appear by filing a written answer to the Plaintiff’s FIRST AMENDED Original Petition at or before ten o’clock a.m. of the Monday next after the expiration of forty-two days after the date of issuance of this citation the same being: Monday, 22nd day of September, 2025, before the Honorable 115th District Court of Upshur County, Texas at the Justice Center of said County, Texas located at 405 N. Titus St., of said County in Gilmer, Texas.
Said Plaintiff’s Petition was filed in said court on the 1st day of August, 2025, In this case numbered 25-230-DCCV-00234 on the docket of said court and styled:

A brief statement of the nature of the suit is as follows, to wit: INJURY/DAMAGE: MOTOR VEHICLE
At approximately 12:00 p.m. on August 2, 2023, Plaintiff was traveling in a 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse, northbound on North Cypress Street, stopped at a stop sign located at the intersection with State Highway 155 North, in Gilmer, Upshur County, Texas. Marvin Jerome Lawrence, Jr., was operating a 2018 Ford F550 pickup truck owned and/or leased by Defendants, MASTEC, INC., MASTEC NORTH AMERICA, INC., R.J. CARROLL COMPANY, LLC, MASTEC UTILITY SERVICES, LLC and/or A1 EXCAVATING, while in the course and scope of employment with Defendants, MASTEC, INC., MASTEC NORTH AMERICA, INC., R.J. CARROLL COMPANY, LLC, MASTEC UTILITY SERVICES, LLC and/or A1 EXCAVATING, traveling northbound on North Cypress Street, and following behind Plaintiff, in Gilmer, Upshur County, Texas. After having initially stopped behind Plaintiff at the stop sign located at the intersection, suddenly and without warning, Marvin Jerome Lawrence, Jr. moved his vehicle from a stopped position, failed to control the speed of his vehicle, and struck Plaintiff’s vehicle, subjecting Plaintiff to tremendous force.
