Bowling for Soup to headline second annual Green Street Monster Fest
The Green Street Monster Fest (GSMF) is excited to announce that pop‑punk favorites Bowling for Soup will headline the second annual festival on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, in downtown Longview. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow, Aug. 27.Bowling for Soup, formed in 1994 in Wichita Falls, quickly became known for their high-energy performances and signature blend of humor and nostalgia. The Grammy-nominated hit “Girl All the Bad Guys Want” and anthems like “1985,” “Almost,” “Punk Rock 101,” and “High School Never Ends” cemented their place in pop-punk history. They are also beloved for performing the theme song to Disney Channel’s animated series Phineas and Ferb. With their lively shows and timeless appeal, Bowling for Soup continues to connect with fans across generations.
Sharing the main stage with Bowling for Soup: Sunny Sweeney, Quiet Company, Wes Jeans and Rock Bottom String Band.
- Sunny Sweeney, hailing from Longview, delivers heartfelt country-Americana through sharp songwriting. Her critically acclaimed releases include Heartbreaker’s Hall of Fame (2007), Concrete (2011) with its top-ten hit “From a Table Away.” Her latest album, Rhinestone Requiem (2025), marks a bold and honky‑tonk‑infused artistic high point.
- Quiet Company, an indie‑rock band from Austin, Texas, led by Taylor Muse, is known for introspective lyrics and dynamic live shows. Their music has been featured on shows like Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Hart of
Dixie. Quiet Company and its members won a total of 10 awards at the Annual Austin Music Awards in 2012, including Best Band and Album of the Year. - Wes Jeans is a celebrated Texas blues‑rock guitarist and vocalist from East Texas (near Marshall). Voted ETX Blues Artist of the Year multiple times, he’s gained acclaim for singles and EPs released in 2024, like Save Me and One Day at a Time, and continues expanding his repertoire in 2025.
- Rock Bottom String Band brings down‑home folk, bluegrass and roots energy to the festival with tight instrumentation, lively tempo shifts and a community‑oriented stage presence that’s perfect for festival settings.
On the second stage, bands include HAG, Ouro Boar and The Ghost Wolves, with more bands to be announced.
