Unexpected Possibilities đź”®

SUNDAY August 27, 2023

“There’ll always be serendipity involved in discovery.”

Jeff Bezos

We experience serendipity when unusual things happen that we don’t expect. Author Gary Pinkerton is finding that to be the case as he continues researching and investigating places, records, and stories around the region. Some offer pleasant surprises as they lead him to new projects.

Also in this issue is a story about musicians Cody Parker and Jodi James of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The duo is scheduled to perform Saturday, September 2, on the Bowery Stage in Winnsboro. Parker and James met fortuitously while singing at clubs in their hometown and now combine their talents to create beautiful harmony with folksy lyrics. — Lisa Tang
