Diggin’ Deep ⛏️

SUNDAY April 30, 2023

“In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.”

Margaret Atwood

The dirt beneath our feet nurtures the land and produces a variety of blooms but also sometimes hides forgotten secrets of the past.

Maybe that’s the reason the city of Bonham adopted excavation-themed events for its 175th anniversary this year. The city digs deep into its past with the Heritage Day Festival on Saturday. The City of Tyler hosts its ninth Red Dirt BBQ Festival the same day and we’re diggin’ it. — Lisa Tang
