The region’s many miles of wildflower trails are exceptionally beautiful and offer a great reason to enjoy a drive through the countryside. The Wildflower Trails of Texas festival held in the three towns of Linden, Avinger, and Hughes Springs this weekend celebrates the region’s signature beauty.

Two more outstanding events worth taking a drive to see are live musical performances at the Greenville Municipal Auditorium. The Dallas Symphony’s chamber orchestra known as DSO On the Go performs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28. The second is a Whitney Houston tribute titled “Queen of the Night” at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 29.
