Taking Flight ✈️

SUNDAY April 2, 2023

“The human bird shall take his first flight, filling the world with amazement.”

Leonardo da Vinci

Artists like Kevin Galloway of Big Sandy know it’s important to seize the right opportunity when it comes. The story in this issue explains events that led to Galloway and his former band Uncle Lucius to reunite and pursue their dreams with a new moxie they forgot they had.

Animals at the Pegasus Horse Ranch in Murchison brought back to health may feel they too have a new chance at life after suffering abuse and neglect. The Wings Over Pegasus airshow on Saturday draws hundreds of visitors to support the ranch’s rescue efforts. It’s one way we can get involved in giving the horses another chance at living their best lives. — Lisa Tang
