Who Dat?🎖️

SUNDAY November 6, 2022

“Lead from the front.”

Audie Murphy

Veterans Day is a time to pause, remember, and express gratitude to heroes who served in the Armed Forces. Perhaps no one will ever match the honors bestowed on Audie Leon Murphy — the most decorated combat soldier in American history — who hailed from Hunt County.

Many leaders of other sorts are making lasting contributions in their communities by promoting the arts at festivals such as the Winnsboro Art & Wine Festival or by continuing traditions such as syrup making in events like Henderson’s Syrup Festival.

Learn more about people from the region in our Upper East Side Texans section in the County Line eMagazine. Check out the November/December eEdition for information about more great events around and visit our calendar and Live Music sections. — Lisa Tang
