Projects like the “Botanical Footwear” collage by the Women’s Art Force at Winnsboro Center for the Arts remind us of how important collaboration is and how great things can happen when teams pull together.

In addition to arts collaborations, two other examples of success are featured in this issue.  Leaders in Wood County and the City of Mineola worked hard for decades to improve their communities and are now receiving kudos as two of the best places in Texas for retirees to live. Our story on Red Wine Day also recognizes the proliferation of local wineries.
