KC Ranger Band member earns seat in TCCBDA All-State Band

Kilgore College Ranger Band tuba player, Kade Johnston, has earned a seat in the Texas Community College Band Directors Association (TCCBDA) All-State Band.

Johnston, of Gladewater, will represent KC in the All-State Band as he travels this week with KC’s Director of Bands, Derrick Logozzo, to San Antonio for the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) annual conference.

“This is truly an accomplishment for Kade,” Logozzo said. “Musicians showcased at the TMEA Clinic/Convention are the best of the best in the state of Texas.”

Johnston will attend clinics and perform with the All-State Band at the end of the conference on Saturday.

Logozzo will also attend clinics and host a recruiting booth for KC Ranger Band and the KC Music Department.
