A woman has been arrested and charged with causing the arson fire which destroyed a Pineview Community restaurant Jan. 12.

The fire totally destroyed Sissy’s Diner, which was owned and operated by Donna Banks.

It was located at 4850 FM 2455 near the Upshur-Camp County Line.

Kimberly Riddings, 48, also known as Kimberly Ridings, voluntarily turned herself in to Upshur County Fire Marshal Paul Steelman Friday after a warrant was issued. She was charged with arson, and was released later Friday under $5,000 bond.

The Perryville and Simpsonville Volunteer Fire Departments, assisted by Winnsboro and Pittsburg Volunteer Fire Departments, responded to the blaze.

Steelman said Ms. Riddings is the sister of Ms. Banks.
