LONGVIEW — Southern Gospel artists The Talley Trio will bring their award-winning progressive southern gospel sound to LeTourneau University’s S.E. Belcher Chapel and Performance Center at the main campus on 2100 S. Mobberly Ave. in Longview at 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 29. Tickets are $20, $16, $12, and $8, depending on seating preference.

The Talley Trio is a musical family composed of Roger Talley, his wife Debra Talley, and their daughter Lauren Talley. Before their daughter was old enough to sing in the group, the trio consisted of the two parents, plus Roger’s brother Kirk Talley. Lauren traveled with the Talley Trio from the age of one, and when she was 10, Roger and Debra decided to disband the original trio so they could raise Lauren normally. But when she was 13, they decided to include her in the new Talley Trio, and the family performances quickly became highly successful.

The Talley Trio has had nine number-one singles and have won numerous Southern Gospel music awards. They have also traveled all over the world, performing on cruises, overseas, and with tours such as the Gaither Homecoming Concert Tour. The Talley Trio’s top priority in concert is to lift up Christ

in its music while presenting the gospel to the listener through song and testimony.

LeTourneau University is an interdenominational Christian university of nearly 3,400 students with academic majors in the aeronautical sciences, business, education, engineering, the liberal arts and sciences. LeTourneau University is located in Longview, Texas, but also offers graduate and undergraduate degree programs online and at five education centers in Austin, Bedford, Dallas, Houston and Tyler.
