The Kilgore College Theatre Department will perform the courtroom drama, “A Few Good Men,” by Aaron Sorkin, Oct. 6-11.
Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6-10 (Tuesday – Saturday), with a matinee performance at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11.
All performances will be in Van Cliburn Auditorium in the Anne Dean Turk Fine Arts Center on the KC campus.
The play first appeared on Broadway in 1989 and was subsequently adapted for the screen in 1992 for a film starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, and Demi Moore.
It tells the story of military lawyers at a court-martial who uncover a high-level conspiracy in the course of defending their clients, United States Marines accused of murder. The play examines the questions of duty, honor, patriotism, justice, and the rule of law.
Tickets for the play are $6 for adults, $5 for students and $4 with a KC identification card. The box office will open one hour prior to each performance and nobody will be admitted after the play has begun.
Patrons can make reservations and pick up tickets at the Will Call window on the afternoon or night of the performance. All seats are general admission.
The play contains adult language and some violence. Children under the age of six will not be admitted. Parental guidance is suggested for students under the age of 14.
