The grand champion steer in the Yamboree steer show was shown by John Tevebaugh of Harmony FFA. At the Saturday auction it was bought by Gilmer National Bank for $2,200.
Reserve champion, shown by 4-H Club member Jackson McQueen, was bought for $1,750 by Spencer Veterinary Service.
The 13 steers in the sale brought a total of $30,450. Legacy AgCredit offered $500 to the highest placing steer that was bred, born and raised in Upshur County. Winner of that award also was John Tevebaugh, owner of the champion.
