Competitive Sealed Proposals for installation of an Orchestra Shell system at the Gilmer High School Auditorium will be received by the Gilmer Independent School District until Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 2:00 P.M., in the Board Room at the Administration Building of the District, 245 North Bradford Street, Gilmer, Texas 75644. Mailed proposals should be addressed to Mr. Rick Albritton, Superintendent, Gilmer Independent School District, 245 North Bradford Street, Gilmer, Texas 75644. Telephoned, faxed, or emailed proposals will not be accepted. Proposals will be opened publicly and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time.
The project consists of the provision and installation of an orchestra shell system on the high school auditorium stage located at 850 Buffalo Street, Gilmer, Texas 75644. The installation of base bid suspended orchestra shell overheads as detailed requires relocation of four (4) existing line sets and the installation of four (4) suspended overhead shell lines. The installation of a shell rear tower system as detailed in bid in alternate number one. Electrical work to facilitate the orchestra shell system installation is provided by Owner as detailed in the construction documents.
Printed Proposal Documents may be obtained by Proposers from the Office of the Architect, Thacker | Davis Architects, Inc., 1100 Judson Road, Suite 620, Longview, Texas 75601 (903-236-3771) upon receipt of a refundable deposit check made payable to Gilmer ISD, in the amount of $50 per set. Deposits will be refunded to Proposers who return the documents in good and usable condition within ten (10) days after opening of proposals. Proposal documents may be reviewed at the Office of the Architect, at the Administration Building of Gilmer ISD, or viewed/purchased by the Proposers for the cost of reproduction from Wolf Prints, 314 East Tyler Avenue, Longview, Texas. Proposers will be required to provide bid security in the form of a certified check in the amount of a sum no less than five (5) percent of the proposal amount.
