NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing on the Upshur County Clerk’s Records Archive Plan, Texas Government Code Sec. 118.011 and Sec. 118.025, for the preservation and restoration of the County Clerk records archive and that a public hearing on the Upshur County District Clerk’s plan for the preservation and restoration of the District Court records will be held on September 15, 2020 at 10 a.m. in the County Courtroom, Third Floor, Upshur County Courthouse, 110 W. Tyler St., Gilmer, Texas.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR OIL AND GAS WASTER DISPOSAL WELL PERMIT

Sulphur River Exploration, Inc., 4851 LBJ Freeway, Ste. 550, Dallas, Texas 75244, is applying to the Railroad Commission of Texas for a permit to dispose of produced salt water or other oil and gas waste by well injection into a porous formation productive of oil or gas. The applicant proposes to dispose of oil and gas waste into the Cotton Valley Line Formation, Indian Rock Gas Unit #5 Lease, Well Number 2. The proposed disposal well is located +-1 Mile Southeast of Gilmer, Texas in the Gilmer (Jurassic) Field, in Upshur County, Texas. The waste water will be injected into strata in the subsurface depth interval from 11,579 to 11,786 feet.

LEGAL AUTHORITY: Chapter 27 of the Texas Water Code, as amended, Title 3 of the Texas Natural Resources Code, as amended, and the Statewide Rules of the Oil and Gas Division of the Railroad Commission of Texas.
