Northeast Texas Habitat Ready for Bags and Bling Bingo

Northeast Texas Habitat for Humanity is gearing up to let the balls drop on August 7th, Bingo Balls that is.  NETHFH will host a Bag and Bling Bingo at Maude Cobb, to support of our ongoing Women Build Missions.  For the low price of a $40 ticket, you will be eligible to win a wonderful selection of Designer Bags and High-end costume jewelry.  Do not hesitate to get your reservation as tickets are going fast and all sales will close this Saturday at Noon:

Women Build Funds go to supporting the Self-Help Ownership Program.  Approved future homeowners must complete financial literacy and homeowner education courses, 350 sweat equity hours, and pay a $1,000 down payment, closing costs, and the purchase of their home at cost with a long-term affordable mortgage.  In 1992, Brenda was a single mother raising 3 children in a part of town well-known for its dangerous conditions and high crime rate.

“I worked sweat equity hours every Saturday and two evenings each week for months to reach 350 hours and to save the money for my down payment.” Brenda said. “But, finally, we moved into a new house!  Sometimes I wanted to give up, but the Habitat staff supported me all the way and the grace of God helped me fight the battles.”

With your participation, we can continue to reach and provide the “Habitat Hand-Up” to these families.  For details and to purchase tickets to our event, visit our Facebook page.  If you are unable to attend this particular event, please reach out to the Development Associate to inquire about how you can help make the difference in someone’s life today.
