Husband provides insight into supporting wife through breast cancer treatment
Author Mark Lotti shares his family’s experience in new book, ‘Various Shades of Pink’
FRISCO, Texas – Written from the point of view of a husband supporting his wife through breast cancer treatment, “Various Shades of Pink: A Husband’s View of Breast Cancer” (published by WestBow Press) by Mark Lotti reveals how Lotti’s wife’s disease affected his family and how God led them through their most trying time.
“Cancer not only affects the individual, (it) affects everyone within that person’s world,” Lotti explains. In a series of anecdotes, Lotti offers insight into the everyday challenges cancer treatment brings to both the individual living with the disease to support network. From the initial diagnosis to the final bone scans a year later, Lotti documents what his wife went through and how friends and family helped throughout the experience.
Lotti also touches upon how faith played a role in overcoming the exasperation and grief that the family suffered. “Know that God will not give you more than you can handle,” says Lotti. “Turn over your grief, struggles and pain to God and he will grant you peace no matter what the outcome is of your journey.”
