Enjoy the thrill of live music at twilight with Garden Gigs at the Dallas Arboretum for its third season this July. Each Friday event features a curated selection of local artists and musicians performing intimate sets in picturesque settings throughout the 66-acre gardens. This weekend features David Tribble, John Lefler and Camille Cortinas, and Micah Peacock.

Singer and songwriter David Tribble hails from Texas with a soulful sound and honest lyrics. Tribble started playing music in church and over the years has developed an original and authentic sound giving a sense of belonging and purpose to the listener. Playing a wide variety of venues from coffee shops to popular festivals, always connecting to an audience no matter how big or small the stage, Tribble hopes audiences will relate to his strong melodies and lyrics while making an impact in their lives.
John Lefler, formerly of Dashboard Confessional and The Wimbledons, teams up again with Dallas native songstress and songwriter Camille Cortinas. Both artists appear together and individually locally performing sets that blend storytelling with an indie rock and Texas country sound.

Texas-based singer and songwriter Micah Peacock can attest to music's potent play in our spiritual lives. As worship leader for The Well at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, a 2000-member congregation located in the sprawling Dallas suburb of Plano, every week Micah witnesses the impact music can have in the day-to-day life of a Christ follower. "To see people embrace fresh ways of worshiping the Lord," Micah relates, "and what that kind of encounter with Jesus can mean for our lives, is amazing."

Garden Gigs runs from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., offering fabulous views of Dallas at sunset, vibrant summer plantings, along with late access to the garden on the shores of White Rock Lake. Guests can bring their own picnics and beverages, or take advantage of delicious offerings from some of DFW's most popular food trucks including Rick's Smokehouse BBQ and The Eggstand. Gates open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $8 for members, $10 for nonmembers and parking is included.
