| | NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 24, 2014) - Nacogdoches native and Country Blues artist Kasey Lansdale will be performing live in Marshall, TX on Saturday, August 9, 2014 for the Words & Voices series at Blue Frog Grill. Recently wrapping up her "Restless Roadtrip" Radio Tour, Lansdale has brought her unique style across the nation. Lansdale's acoustic performance kicks off at 7:00 p.m. and will feature songs off of her debut studio album "Restless" which was produced by Grammy award-winner John Carter Cash, progeny of “The Man in Black,” in the Cash Cabin Studio.
Lansdale penned seven of the 11 songs on her current album, “Restless,” which showcases her smoky vocals and edgy style with songs like “Sorry Ain’t Enough” and “Blame You for Trying.” Her single, “Sorry Ain’t Enough,” debuted at #4 on MPE’s Most Downloaded and Streamed Songs, only behind Lady Antebellum, Sheryl Crow, and Brantley Gilbert, which also landed #14 on the Hot Disc UK International Chart. Lansdale recently shot her first music video for the debut single at the historic Cash Cabin, which is slated for a September 1, 2014 release.
Lansdale’s music also recently made a transition to the big screen. Her songs, “Back of My Smile” and "Foolin Around" were featured on the soundtrack of thriller film, “Cold in July,” based on the suspense crime-fiction novel by her father.
