Hailey competed with 60 other state qualifiers, who were the best of over 13,000 students who initially competed at the district, area and regional levels for 3A schools.
Hailey has participated in UIL events often in her high school experience and has consistently made progress.
Her achievement is a direct result of her diligence and her commitment to excellence. In order to achieve this award, Hailey had to demonstrate mastery in her organizational abilities, depth of thought, as well as a breadth of knowledge to support for her ideas.
Hundreds of thousands of Texas public school students meet rigorous scholastic requirements in order to voluntarily compete in a UIL academic, fine arts or athletic event.
“There are no words to describe the pride felt at Hailey’s achievement by her and her family, her coaches, her school and her town,” said GISD curriculum secretary Joni Elms.
