The local chapter of Concerned Women for America will be conducting its second prayer rally for the National Day of Prayer. It will begin promptly at noon, Thursday, May 1, at the Upshur County Courthouse’s flagpole and the public is invited.

This will be the nation’s 63rd day of prayer that is always held on the first Thursday in May. The theme for 2014 is “One Voice, United in Prayer” and scripture focus is Romans 15:6, “so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Christians are encouraged to gather at noon to pray for the needs of our nation and for Godly leadership. Please mark your calendar and come and join in during lunchtime.

For more information, please contact Melady Thompson, the new CWA director for East Texas, 903-841-2808 or the local CWA chapter leader, Sandra Click, 903-734-3073.
