Winnsboro, Texas ---- The Winnsboro Center for the Arts (WCA) will be celebrating their grand re-opening after extensive renovations with the Starry, Starry Night Dinner & Art Auction on Saturday, March 29 at 6:30 pm. Over fifty 6"x6" and 8”x8” canvases will be created and donated by local and not-so-local artists, and will be up for silent auction at this annual fundraiser to support the arts and artists of East Texas. The WCA will also be auctioning Aqua Waters, a 24"x24" acrylic, done by American Abstract Artist Cody Hooper, who was born in North Texas.
Dinner will be catered by Double C Steakhouse of Winnsboro, with a menu unique to this event, and special guests Shannon Monk and Lindy Hearne will emcee. Tickets are $25 per person, including dinner, dessert, and two complimentary glasses of wine, and are on sale at Winnsboro Emporium; 212 Market St. Seating is limited, so guests are urged to purchase them early.
Due to the current state of construction at the art center, the smaller canvases are on preview at Winnsboro Emporium, and Aqua Waters is on display at Art & Espresso; 11 E. Broadway (across the street from the WCA). On the afternoon of Thursday, March 27, WCA’s Exhibit Coordinator, Brenda Roberts, plans to have all artwork back in the WCA, and the silent auction pre-bidding will commence.
Starry, Starry Night event coordinators, Brenda Roberts and Cindy Sanders, invite you to, “Come see the new and improved WCA, enjoy a divine dinner with friends old and new, and join in on the excitement of this very special event.”
