Low Cost Pet Vaccination Clinic:

This Saturday, February 22, noon to 2 PM, a Low Cost Pet Vaccination clinic will be held as a community service. The Upshur County 4-H Veterinary Science students, Circle V 4-H Club, along with Dr. Cherie Nazzal, Gilmer Lady Vet, and Longview PETCO on Loop 281, will sponsor this clinic.

All vaccinations will be given to dogs and cats at a reduced rate. These will include the nine-in-one Distemper/Parvo vaccination, H3N8 Horse Flu shot that is killing dogs, Bordatella, and Rabies vaccinations for dogs (all for $50).  Cats will get the four in one Distemper-Respiratory vaccination, Feline Immunodeficiency shot, Leukemia, and Rabies (all for $50).

Heartworm tests will be available at half price ($20). Heartworm prevention will be available, as well as flea treatment, deworming medicine, and the 6 month heartworm shot Proheart. Microchipping will be available for $32.50, which includes the cost of the chip and the lifetime registration.

All animals will receive a free veterinary examination by Dr. Cherie Nazzal

The money received for the vaccinations will be divided between Upshur County Hope House for Pets, to purchase a mobile pet adoption unit, and the Circle V 4-H students for scholarships.
