Kilgore College Continuing Education will offer several fun and fulfilling personal enrichment courses this semester including art, music, flower arranging, dog grooming, photography and swimming.
Dog Grooming for Beginners starts this month and will run for seven weeks on Monday nights from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Students will learn the proper method for bathing and clipping small breeds such as poodles and schnauzers.
The class is limited to 12 and students may bring their own dogs.
Dog Grooming for Advanced Students begins in March and will run for seven weeks on Monday nights for seven weeks from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Instruction will include camouflaging dogs’ defaults, coloring for poodles and trimming patterns to match the dog’s body.
Tuition for each dog grooming class is $125 and the class is limited to 12 students.
Beginning and Advanced Cake Decorating are also offered February through March on Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. for six weeks each. Tuition for each is $125.
Photography begins Feb. 17 and will run for 10 weeks on Monday nights from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Students will be introduced to photography as a means of personal expression. Instruction will include the proper camera settings for indoor and outdoor lighting and for a variety of subjects. The tuition is $175.
Classes are held at the Bert E. Woodruff Adult Education Center, 220 N. Henderson Blvd. in Kilgore.
Advanced registration is required.
