The county and state primary election will be held very soon, Tuesday, March 4.

Eligible voters must be registered 30 days prior to election.

Sadly, many citizens do not take the time to register or maintain their registration. This year a photo identification must also be shown before voting.

The local chapter of CONCERNED WOMEN FOR AMERICA/TEXAS is working diligently to publicize this important topic and help educate the public.

Please study all the candidates and issues before voting.

It is crucial that citizens NOT take this governmental right for granted. Many brave men and women have given the ultimate sacrifice to protect this freedom!

Registration application forms are available at the Upshur County Tax Assessor’s Office.

For more information go to www.votetexas.gov.

governmental right

It is not the governments right... it is the constitutional right! The government is the ones to blame for requiring id... because the polls do not do there job, nor do the Tax Assessor's Office.. Hell, they let illegals vote if they have an Id.. address etc... so why make the every day citizen be punished?

as far as these clowns studying who is who.. bet most just check dem or rep and the card and turn it in,,, that is why the local, state and federal governments are so screwed up, and do nothing but work for their own agenda, SO NATURALLY you have all the sheeple people, doing status quo...

nothing else needs to be said... other than most to not want to serve on the kangaroo courts down there.. either!
