The countdown begins! Just a few days until our first 4H meeting and Vet Science class for 2014!

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at The Pritchett Community Center, off Highway 154 South, towards Big Sandy on Thursday, January 23.

Dr. Cherie Nazzal, Gilmer Lady Veterinarian, will teach an interesting class on laboratory examination of blood, urine, and feces.

Andrea Brunson is in charge of the 4H Veterinary Science group.

Also -- Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 will be our first PetCo (Longview Loop 281) Low Cost Vaccination Clinic for 2014.

Students will be needed to draw up the vaccinations, weigh the animals, and get paperwork started. Dr. Nazzal will administer the vaccinations and perform examinations of each animal. Andrea Brunson will execute treasurer and secretary functions.

Don't forget -- if you haven't enrolled, please go to http://texas4-h.tamu.edu and click on 4HConnect to register for 4H.

Anyone with an interest in learning to become a veterinary technician is welcome to attend.
