Kilgore College will offer a new Continuing Education course in the spring, "Before the Curtain Rises," that will give participants a preview of the upcoming Texas Shakespeare Festival summer season as well as a behind the scenes look at what the TSF does during the year.

“This class will give participants a behind-the-scenes view of what happens from September to May including picking the plays, auditions and designing the productions,” said Meaghan Sullivan, Artistic Associate for TSF.

“This course will introduce the arts and crafts of theatre to patrons who are curious about the inner-workings of the art form and allow them to have a deeply enriching experience as they take in the productions next summer.”

The class is set for 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays from Feb. 25 through April 22.  Cost is $100.

Classes will be held in the Special Events Room at KC—Longview.

Instructors are TSF Artistic Associates Meaghan Sullivan and Matthew Simpson.

To register, call (903) 983-8613.
