City of Lindale to Host Two Christmas Events in December for Community Participation

On Friday, December 6 at 6:00p.m., the City of Lindale will officially begin the Christmas season in Lindale, Texas, at the newly renovated Pickers Pavilion at Blackberry Square. Known as the “red brick building” located on E. North Street, Pickers Pavilion is the new site for the official City Christmas Tree, and this year’s Community Christmas Tree Forest. Plus, Santa Claus will arrive in Lindale on Friday evening to share in the city’s celebration.

The schedule of events for Friday, December 6 includes:

 Ribbon Cutting for Pickers Pavilion at Blackberry Square

 Opening of the Community Christmas Tree Forest

 Lindale High School Choir Christmas Presentation

 Community Christmas Caroling


 Santa Claus arrives in Lindale: everyone is invited to bring their own camera to take pictures with Santa Claus!

 Keri’s Dance Factory to present Christmas performance

 Hot Chocolate will be for sale for $1.00 to benefit the Veteran’s Memorial Fund

 Face Painting

 Bongo & The Point will perform until 9:00p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to park across the street from Pickers Pavilion in the old Cannery parking lot, located north of Pickers Pavilion. City of Lindale Police Department will be present to assist with parking and traffic.

The Community Christmas Tree Forest is a community-wide collection of decorated Christmas trees that will remain on display inside the pavilion for visitors to enjoy throughout the Christmas season. Visitors are welcome to view the Community Christmas Tree Forest from 9:00a.m.-10:00p.m. daily until January 1, 2014.

On Saturday, December 14, 2013, City of Lindale will host “A Handmade Christmas” at Old Mill Pond Museum from 10:00a.m to 3:00p.m. Activities include knife making and forge demonstrations, sawmill demonstrations, live music, a handmade craft show and sale, and activities for the entire family.

Both events are free and open to the public to attend.
