Ginger Murchison Foundation Makes $40,000 Challenge

October 22, 2013 (TYLER, TX) – During its 40th Anniversary Celebration Banquet held on October 1, 2013, Meals on Wheels Ministry announced a special challenge grant that could earn the organization up to $80,000. In honor of the organization’s 40th anniversary, The Ginger Murchison Foundation issued a challenge grant of $40,000. This means the foundation will match funds raised up to $40,000, making every donation count twice.

“This is a powerful challenge,” said Mike Powell, President/CEO of Meals on Wheels. “I believe the community will be excited by the opportunity to make their gifts go twice as far. The Ginger Murchison Foundation has been a supporter of our organization for many years, and this gift is a way to encourage new support from more members of the community.”

The Foundation has been a generous and longtime supporter of the organization. “The Ginger Murchison Foundation is proud to partner with Meals on Wheels Ministry and celebrate its 40 years with this $40,000 challenge grant. We hope that this opportunity will encourage members of the community to support the great work that the organization does in Henderson County and all of East Texas,” said Mr. Don Wills, President of The Ginger Murchison Foundation.

Those interested in donating towards the challenge grant can participate by using the online donation option on the Meals on Wheels Ministry website, www.mowmet.org, by sending a contribution in the mail to Meals on Wheels Ministry; P.O. Box 5475; Tyler, Texas 75712 or by calling Zoe Lawhorn at (903) 525-0906. All proceeds will benefit the programs and services of Meals on Wheels Ministry.

All event proceeds benefit the programs and services of  Meals on Wheels Ministry.
