Airplanes, Food & Fun

Come to The Jefferson Fly-In on Saturday, October 5, 2013 - 10:00 – 2:00 at the Cypress River Airport east of Jefferson on Highway 134. This event is open to the public and offers free admission.

Come out for a great day of aircraft, food, fun and a chance to chat with the pilots of the many planes that will fly in for this event.

This event also features a BBQ lunch for spectators as a fundraiser for the Marion County Airport Volunteers. Plate lunch is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10.  Complimentary lunch served to Pilots and Crew who fly in.

The Fly-In offers a wonderful opportunity for FREE family entertainment.

The Cypress River Airport is located at 270 Cypress River Airport Road, in Jefferson Texas. From Hwy 59, turn North on to FM 2208 for 1 mile; turn right on to FM 134 South for 1.8 miles. Airport will be on the left.

Jefferson is nestled deep in the Piney Woods of East Texas and seems frozen in time. It is a charming town and an elegant reminder of a bygone era. There are over a hundred buildings in the city with historical markers. Many historic homes offer bed and breakfast accommodations. Dozens of other historic buildings house museums, craft and antique shops and restaurants.
